NBank, together with the employers’ association NiedersachsenMetall, has invested in Fehrmann MaterialsX GmbH. With this strategic participation, an internationally recognized AI company for industrial decision intelligence is being further developed and expanded in Lower Saxony.
As part of the investment, Fehrmann MaterialsX is establishing a new location in Lüneburg, bringing its AI-powered platform for data-driven material and process decisions closer to industrial companies. The goal is to make development processes more efficient and significantly reduce innovation cycles.
The platform connects internal company knowledge with secure external data sources and uses artificial intelligence to identify relevant material and process options. This enables companies to make well-founded decisions while reducing development time and testing efforts.

At the same time, the company’s expansion strengthens Lower Saxony as an innovation hub.
NiedersachsenMetall also emphasizes the strategic importance of the investment. It provides companies with access to technologies that were previously limited to large corporations, enabling them to significantly increase productivity and innovation capacity.
With this investment, Lower Saxony is further expanding its capabilities in industrial transformation. Companies gain access to AI-based infrastructure that intelligently connects data, knowledge, and advanced analytics—creating the foundation for faster innovation, lower costs, and sustainable competitive advantages.
